East Hampton LDV at The Maidstone Hotel debuts Luxe brand partnerships

Last summer, the 150-year-old Maidstone hotel, located at Main Street in East Hampton, reopened its doors under the leadership of the LDV hospitality, the group behind the NYC Scarpetta restaurant and famous for its Italian luxury. The hotel, since it was renamed LDV in Maidstone, introduced one day aperitif Hours in the garden and reboot the stylish restaurant to serve strict Italian pastries.

This summer, Maidstone is bringing even more European elegance in East Hampton’s courtesy for new partnerships with Sézane, the French fashion brand and Ginori 1735, a luxurious Italian dinner company.

“We want to bring this La Dolce Vita’s lifestyle in Hamptons,” John Meadow, the founder and president of LDV, tells Alexa.

Sézane is creating a pop-up store in the back garden of the hotel, after fences, from June 20 to July 27. Visitors will be able to order a spritz or glass of good Italian wine in the grass and store a unique collection of summer capsules (including the famous Justine Basket bag) along with limited edition items.

“We went with them because they are young, fresh, fun, playful, miraculous,” Meadow explains. The hotel guests will also be surprised by Sézane products in their rooms.

In addition, the hotel will be decorated with objects created by Ginori 1735, which is known for its colorful settings of porcelain table and home decoration. “Likes like Bergdorf-Caliber, ornate China,” Meadow notes.

Chef Jorge Espinoza, who runs the restaurant, has already served his famous spaghetti Alla Nerao on the Italian oriente tiles of Ginori 1735. This summer all food – both interior and external – will be served on brand tables.

The company is also creating printed pillows, umbrellas and throwing for the garden and creating a pop-up store in the hotel lobby for guests that covet the latest Ginori 1735 collection.

“I saw last summer as the guests would sit there and look at the bottom of the tiles to see who made them,” Meadow recalls. “Why not be able to let them bring them home, right?”
